Residents Helping Dental Students (RHDS) is a network that enables communication between current dental specialty Residents and Dental Students.

During virtual meetings, Residents can share powerful insights regarding how to match with the speciality and school of your dreams.

As Dental Students, we felt that there was a general lack of information regarding:

• Producing a strong application

• Preparing for interviews

• Training experience at various programs

RHDS is the resource we wish was available to us when we were Dental Students! It would have taken much of the uncertainty out of the application process and made us stronger applicants.

Speaking with Residents who have gone through the trials and tribulations first hand allows Dental Students to learn from the experiences of those who went before them. This leads to optimization of their application and interview performance.

As everyone’s values and personalities are different, it’s hard to know which school would be the best fit for you. These chats will also help Dental Students make well informed decisions on where to apply and which offer to accept.

Dental Students who use RHDS have access to a team of Residents that represent various specialties and schools across Canada.

We believe that speaking with the right Resident can give Dental Students a competitive advantage with regards to landing interviews and securing spots in the program they desire.

Since Daniel and Dom can only speak on behalf of one school (U of T) and one specialty (orthodontics), we recruited a team of highly motivated and charismatic Residents across many geographic locations and dental specialties.

We selected a team of Residents that we feel best represent the RHDS vision, who can maximize Dental Students chances of matching.

Our company is still in its infancy, but we have assisted many Dental Students over the years. Based on the high success rates of Dental Students we’ve spoken to with regards to landing interviews and matching to programs, we genuinely believe that our time spent mentoring paid off and gave them a competitive advantage.

Programs are constantly changing in order to adapt to advances in dentistry and emerging technology. Residency programs may operate very differently than they did not long ago.

Knowing this, we pride ourselves in offering the most up to date information to Dental Students. We achieve this by maintaining a team of RHDS Residents who are currently in Residency or recent graduates so they can answer your questions with up to date information.
